AZ Dept of Forestry – Preparing for the 2025 Fire Season in the White Mountains

Jon Orona and 3 other experts from the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management will talk about holistic approaches to preparing for wildfire. This will include a discussion of living in a fire prone forested ecosystem, home hardening, review defensible spaces/zones, and other recommendations like using fire resistant building materials, working with your local water company and fire district to make sure firefighters have working/functional fire hydrants or access to water, access ingress/egress, and what to prepare for if you’re evacuated.

Members are free! Non-members are $5 per adult. Children 12 and under are free!
