When you accept employment or a volunteer role with The White Mountain Nature
Center, you are joining the WMNC community and we ask that you comply with all
local and federal laws, regulations and WMNC policies. All members of the WMNC
community are expected to follow this policy and code of conduct.
Conflict of Interest Policy
This Conflict of Interest policy is designed to meet the requirements of A.R.S. § 10-3860 through 10-3864, which govern conflict of interest transactions for Arizona non-profit corporations and to comply with IRS requirements for maintaining an independent board and preventing “Excess Benefit Transactions” under Section 4958 of the Internal Revenue Code in order to protect the tax-exempt interest of the organization. It emphasizes the “Duty of Loyalty” required of board members.

The purpose of this Emergency Expenditure Plan (EEP) is to establish clear guidelines and procedures for the expenditure of funds during unforeseen emergencies or crises that threaten the immediate operational viability or safety of the White Mountain Nature Center. This plan aims to ensure that critical needs are met swiftly and responsibly, while maintaining fiscal accountability and transparency.
This plan applies to all board members, and anyone authorized to make financial decisions on behalf of the organization during an emergency
